[toggle title=”Who are OnTapp?“]We are a small group of XBMC/Kodi enthusiasts developing new innovative addons to enhance what is already a brilliant media center. We are in no way affiliated with the official XBMC/Kodi foundation, our goal is to create user-friendly solutions to enhance what is already a fantastic system and the OnTapp EPG is just one of those enhancements.[/toggle]

[toggle title=”What is the OnTapp.TV XBMC addon?“]
XBMC/Kodi has many different addons available where you can get a whole myriad of live and catchup TV streams from, however until OnTapp surfaced there was no way to group all of these together. The OnTapp.TV addon allows the user to link any addon (or section of an addon) to a particular channel with channel listings from around the globe so it feels much more like a satellite/cable experience where everything is all in one place. There are other benefits of using the addon too, the features list is continually expanding and improving but already you can directly access any of your addons from within the EPG and switch your IP to a country of your choice via our VPNicity integration, this is particularly useful for expats. We’ve also recently added the ability to fully customise your channel listings – you can add any channel you want, name it what you want, place it where you want, categorise how you want and even give it the logo you want… a FULLY customisable EPG.

[toggle title=”Can I Use This Outside XBMC?”]OnTapp.TV is only designed to work on the XBMC platform so (for the time being at least) you must have XBMC/Kodi running on your device[/toggle]
[margin10]
[toggle title=”Why is this not free?“]Listings are owned by the content providers and a royalty must be paid if the listings are publicly distributed. When you subscribe to a TV service such as Sky TV or DIRECTV, the EPG and listings are part of that subscription. For us to provide listings legally we must do the same as these companies and pay royalties, these payments are significant amounts of money but luckily with the service being so popular we’re able to bring the cost-per-user price down to a very reasonable rate.[/toggle]

[toggle title=”What extra addons do I need for this to work?“]
We’ve coded it so that you can link absolutely any XBMC addon to a channel. In fact you can now link multiple streams to each channel which is great as this means you have backup options in case a particular website/service is down. The community have started to create a very useful guide on which streams work with which channels, you can find the guide here.

[toggle title=”How do I link streams/addons to the channels?“]
Please click on the support link at the top of the page which has videos showing how to do this, if you still have problems understanding come over to the official forum where you’ll get the correct support directly from the development team and the users.

[toggle title=”Can I cancel, what if it doesn’t work on my device?“] OnTapp.TV is designed to work on every XBMC device with the exception of XBMC4Xbox (due to the limitations of the original Xbox hardware – it was manufactured in 2002 after all!). If you’ve subscribed to a yearly contract then you have 7 days in which you can cancel and receive a full refund. For all other subscriptions you can cancel at any time by going to the members section and clicking on “unsubscribe”, this will take you to your PayPal payments page where you can cancel any recurring payments. The service will automatically end once your payment has failed to go through so there’s no need to contact us when you wish to cancel. No refunds are given on subscriptions unless it’s the yearly one and you cancel within 7 days of subscribing.[/toggle]

[toggle title=”What channel listings are included?“] We always try to provide the most popular channel listings and we do listen to customer feedback so from time to time the channel lineup can alter, nothing is set in stone. However for a list of our current line-up you can take a look at this page. As previously mentioned this is not a definitive guide, you may well find some there have since been some extra channels added that aren’t listed and you may find some have since been removed. You can however add your own dummy channels to the guide, this means you can add absolutely any channel you want and link streams to it but there will be no program information for that particular channel.[/toggle]

[toggle title=”What Is XBMC/Kodi?”]Widely regarded as the worlds best media center, amongst many other features it’s capable of streaming almost any content from the web. Best of all it’s totally FREE! More info can be found here. For those that aren’t aware in late 2014 XBMC announced it will be changing it’s name and all future releases will be named Kodi. The foundation have kept the same great system it’s literally just a name change so this service works perfectly well on all future releases. [/toggle]

[toggle title=”Will this work on the latest alpha/beta test versions of Kodi?”]We cannot guarantee the reliability of any Kodi test builds so you should always use the latest stable version when using OnTapp.TV. There is a good chance it will work just fine with the test versions however it is completely out of our control but we can assure you by the time a stable version is released the service will be fully compatible.[/toggle]
